Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer break filled with many fun activities.  With the start of the school year so close, I’m sure you are asking where did the summer go?  I wanted to share some information before we get together in September.  It is my goal to keep parents informed of important events and dates.  The academic calendar for the year has been mailed home and can be found on the school web site.  Please remember certain dates may be subject to change depending on the weather this year.  The monthly newsletter will continue to be posted on the school web site and you will be able to preview important events listed on the monthly calendar.  Other important information will be provided through the school web page.

The St. Bartholomew family would like to wish those teachers the best of luck on their new educational mission, especially Mrs. Carmada, we wish her the best in Virginia.  I would like to take this time to extend a warm welcome to the teachers joining the St. Bartholomew community as well as our new secretary, Ms. Sierra.  With a new year comes new beginnings and I am eager and excited to start what will be a wonderful year for our school.

The first day for grades 1st – 8th will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Kindergarten will start class on Thursday, September 7, 2017

Student should be in full uniform on the first day of school and dismissal will be at 12:00 p.m. for the first week of school

A special thank you to Father Rick, Brother Dennis, the board members, Ms. Wendy, Ms. Connie, Mr. Raul and all the staff that have made me feel so welcomed and helped through the transition process. We will continue to work together to provide our students and families the best opportunities St. Bartholomew can offer.

I look forward to building a productive partnership among teachers, staff, students, and parents to ensure the students at St. Bartholomew can achieve their highest potential.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give me or the school office a call.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! See you in September!

Mrs. Gonzalez
